# The Cozy Season Planted: 24 September 2025 I love autumn. It's by far my favorite season, which sometimes makes me wonder if most of us are prone to enjoying the season most we were born in. At least, I've observed a noticeable correlation between favorite seasons and birthdays among my peers. Just a random thought I had. But autumn, to me, is the very definition of coziness. The cold, wet weather combined with the aesthetics of tinted leaves scattered across the streets, the warmth of one's thick layers combined with the warm insides of one's home... how could it not be? In a strange way, though, I also associate this time of year with a unique (and, as I like to refer to it, romantic) melancholy drawn from its atmosphere, which always makes it a very introspective time for me. It might simply be nature's color palette during this time, creating a mix of warm and cold tones that seamlessly blends into a feeling of both coziness and introspection. It's also connected with a fair number of traditions I enjoy practicing, simple things, such as rewatching the entire season of _Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance_ or (re-)playing _The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt_, as especially the main story feels very "autumny" to me (looking mostly at you, *Velen* and *Skellige*). And there's no more beautiful time in the year to go on walks, at least mentally. There is something very calming about walking through the woods with a cold breeze blowing leaves across one's path that no other season seems able to replicate. Perhaps these factors play a role in this time of the year usually being a time of change, with various online challenges especially taking place during that time. I'm curious as to what this year's autumn will lead to and reveal. There's a lot of change in the air, from career to personal matters, that feels like it will unfold within these next months. #thoughts ---
  favorite 0 chat_bubble
